When will the next Film Faster 48 festival take place?
The September 26–29, 2026 dates have been postponed. New dates and venue have not yet been confirmed. The official festival-status page will contain any confirmed announcement.
Are paid submissions or event registration open?
No. Both are currently closed. Eligibility, fees, rules, dates and the future entry period will be published before submissions reopen.
Is this a timed 48-hour film challenge?
No. Film Faster 48 is the name of the festival, not a mandatory 48-hour production requirement. Previously completed short films may be considered under the next official rules.
Does selection guarantee a screening or distribution deal?
No. Any screenings, awards, development or distribution opportunities depend on the separately announced official festival program and applicable agreements.
Do filmmakers keep their rights?
Filmmakers retain ownership of their work, subject to any specific screening and promotional permissions agreed in their applicable submission terms. If you need your original agreement, contact support.
I already registered. Can I request an update or refund review?
Yes. Keep your confirmation and email support@filmfaster48.com with your original platform and reference number. Any refund or remedy depends on the original purchase terms, platform rules and applicable law.
Can I volunteer while dates are unconfirmed?
You can express interest now. Assignments, shifts, benefits and event details will be confirmed once the next schedule is established.
Can my company sponsor future programming?
We welcome exploratory conversations. No audience metrics, deliverables, dates or sponsorship inventory are guaranteed until confirmed in a written agreement.
